Burglary or Vandalism
Upon discovery of a burglary or vandalism:
Do not touch or pick up anything in the area.
Keep patrons out of the immediate area.
Do not try to subdue a suspected perpetrator, but try to observe the suspect well enough to provide a description.
Do not confront the suspect(s).
Follow the steps outlined below:
When the Library is open:
Call 215-898-5444 (VP-DLC Guard Desk) or notify the Building Superintendent (215-898-1629) or (cell: 215-756-7469).
When the Library is closed:
Immediately evacuate the library and lock the doors behind you.
Do not re-enter the library until the Police arrive and give authorization to do so.
