Emergency Evacuation
Fires, power failures and bomb threats are some of incidents that might result in an evacuation.
Upon becoming aware of an emergency situation, assigned monitors equipped with flashlights will help people, including those with special needs; evacuate the building via fire towers. The central fire towers are equipped with emergency lights, which will operate during a power failure.
The Manager, Operations Services, or Building Supervisor
will activate the fire alarm to direct evacuation efforts.
Individuals should stop all work. Remain calm. Time
permitting, turn off equipment and close doors and windows.
Evacuate the building immediately using the nearest safe exit and proceed outside and away from the building to a minimum of 300 feet. DO NOT use elevators. Comply with Fire Department orders. Report to the pre-assigned meeting location for your department, if possible.
Return to the building only when instructed to do so.
