The Research, Training and Quality Management Department is a resource for training, planning, and problem-solving throughout the IPC. RTQM coordinates training and documentation for new systems and procedures and provides continuing education for IPC staff. The Database Maintenance/Authority Control unit updates and corrects errors in Franklin records, converts card catalog records into Franklin records, and reclassifies books from the Dewey decimal to Library of Congress classification. The Storage Processing unit transfers books and maintains Franklin records at the High Density Storage facility, 3001 Market Street.
